The wood is virtually defect-free and hand-picked, and can be constructed in S2S, fluted, or vertical styles. Eucalyptus wood is also engineered, which makes it denser than solid eucalyptus and comparable in hardness to Ash, Hard Maple, and Apitong. The manufacturing process of eucalyptus wood involves heat and pressure, which makes it more durable.

 

Eucalyptus wood is grown in plantations, which makes it less expensive than tropical hardwoods. An unlimited supply is available, and it is the same species and quality of wood that is used to manufacture trailer fillers. Additionally, engineered eucalyptus sticks have a density of 1420, which is denser than Southern Yellow Pine LVL's density of 690.
